Good Value for Price July 24, 2021 Reviewer: Steve K from Des Plaines, IL United States   Nice quality instrument. Very beautiful wood work and good sound. Though the tuning pegs leave a little to be desired. Not enough where it is a problem, but the instrument must be re-tuned before each use. Was this review helpful to you?

A fine instrument! June 30, 2021 Reviewer: Tom Wanamaker from Marcellus, NY United States   I'm really enjoying my new balalaika from Roosebeck! It is a solid, well-made instrument with beautiful wood work. It stays in tune, plays nicely and sounds great. I play guitar, mandolin and banjo so stringed instruments are not new to me, but the unusual tuning of the balalaika is proving to be a nice & welcome challenge. Wonderful for Beginners! January 1, 2020 Reviewer: Hunter H. from ALAMOSA, CO United States   The guitar has amazing quality and is finished very nicely for the price. The strings  and carrying case work great. The notes change pitch the higher up the neck you go (meaning high notes sound out of tune despite the guitar being tuned properly). So if you if primarily play low notes then it sounds beautiful. No complaints, love it!!! Was this review helpful to you?

Primo Prima Balalaika February 14, 2018 Reviewer: Jamie Mathews (twogunbob(@)ymail.com) from Grandview, TX United States   Flawless transaction, was kept apprised of status of my order every step of the way without a single snag of complication. The balalaika itself was packed with care and arrived in perfect condition. I took my time before reviewing the instrument as I'm learning how to play with this and initially has issues with the outer E string slipping from the bridge but this honestly was my own placement of the free floating bridge combined with learning the strumming style. After a month I can say the Roosebeck plays like a dream and will probably be the instrument I keep throughout my time learning and playing the balalaika. I cannot praise HCWI enough for there seamless services in transaction and providing quality instrument.
