5 of 5 Even better than expected... June 24, 2018

Great sitar!  I am an experienced musician, but this is my first professional sitar.  Sounds wonderful, much more mellow than metallic like my beginner Sitar was.  Beautifully crafted.  It did not require any set-up, i.e., I did not have to adjust the frets or change the stings or anything like that.  The book that was sent with it, “Learn to Play the Sitar”, by Ram Avtar ‘Vir’, is exactly what I have been looking for.  It has clear explanations and exercises and presents Western notation along with most of the exercises and Ragas.  The gig bag was about as average as most free gig bags are, but certainly protective and convenient.  Overall, great quality at a very reasonable price.  I recommend it.

5 of 5 Great sitar. Strings could be better. June 4, 2018

Really seems to be a quality sitar. Glad it comes with spare strings though. Two broke within the first couple days. So apparently it doesn't come with great strings already on it. Very happy with the instrument, and the price can't be beat.
