Description

A beginner harp set for the student harpist. Includes 19 string Pixie harp with upgraded Chelby levers, 77 page Mel Bay's Basic Harp for Beginners book, and Snark Clip-on Chromatic Tuner! A quality harp student package at a great price for the beginner harpist. The Roosebeck Pixie Harp has 19 DuPont hard nylon strings that range from F below Middle C to High C, and it has 19 sharpening levers.

This Pixie Harp comes with upgraded Chelby levers for improved functionality. Compared to the standard Roosebeck harp levers, the Chelby levers are mechanically superior. The design allows the lever to engage the string from the side and limit the possibility of strings lifting off the bridge pin. The red and blue colored caps allow you to quickly locate the C- and F-string levers. The lever is attached to its base by a hex bolt. A synthetic washer is spaced between the lever and base, creating a smooth and controlled, lifting action that resists slipping once engaged. The base of each lever is mounted to the harp arm by two screws, should any adjustment be necessary. The bridge pins for the Chelby levers have also been improved; they can be adjusted, in or out, by simple turning with a hex wrench.

At 31" high and 7 pounds, it can be play on the lap, or easy to handle for someone needing a harp of smaller size. It has an engraved Irish Rose Thistle design, inlaid Rosewood frame with a Birch soundboard for exceptional sound and strength. Includes Extra String, Clip-On Chromatic Tuner & Mel Bay Harp Book. Free Shipping.

5 of 5 Great Beginner Harp September 14, 2020
Reviewer: Alice Alderden from Indiana
I recently decided I wanted to learn the harp and after doing some research I decided this was the best harp to buy based on price and quality.

I have not been disappointed one bit. It’s a lovely little harp and it is quality!  I love that it’s easy to transport as well to my weekly lessons.

Sometimes you do have to get creative when playing songs since the harp is only 2 1/2 octaves, but for the price, you cannot beat it for a beginner deciding if the harp is the right instrument for them!
