I've reviewed several websites about tuning and playing this instrument and from what I can tell it stands up to any instrument I've seen so far. Thank you for your prompt shipment of the product and the ease of purchase.

5 of 5 Sitar October 25, 2015

Sure this instrument is not the best or most decorated but it does not cost what such an I strument costs either - this instrument is very pleasing - beautiful in its modest way and plays well.  I am very pleased with the quality and functionality of the instrument.  I would order this sitar again - I have enjoyed playing this sitar daily since receiving it.
Yes there are better sitars - the frets are a bit rough but nothing that breaks functionality.  It is strung heavy and I like lighter strings - not really a problem either.  These are the only critisms I can make - the case is nice and book helpful.
I recommend this sitar to anyone looking in this price range - best I found.

3 of 5 My Sitar October 11, 2015
Reviewer: Jeff Gultch from Muskego, WI United States
Dear Habdcrafted;  Seeing in which this is the first time I have touched and used a sitar leaves me a questionable person to ask about the quality of my sitar.  There are pegs that will not stay where I set them in tuning and others that are very hard to turn.  I have one peg adjustment that won't move for me what so ever.  I have busted several strings including a sympathetic string and I have been afraid to try to repair the broke string.

Otherwise my sitar looks very good.  My problem is the need for an instructor which has been difficult in my location.

Over all I believe when I can receive instructions all will be better since I know I need the insights of someone that is familiar with the sitar for me to advance very far.

Thank you for asking,
Jeff Gultch
