Description

Based upon the Renaissance Lute which was prevalent in Europe in the 16th and 17th century, the Lute-kulele™ is one of the sweetest sounding ukuleles in our collection and is ideally suited for classical and fingerstyle music.

This Tenor-sized instrument is based upon a 17 inch scale, and features six strings. The first (A) and third (C) strings are doubled providing a rich full and balanced tone. It is played like any normal 4-string ukulele. It features a European spruce soundboard with the famous Leonardo Knot rosette which was a favorite of many Renaissance lute makers. The back is made in the traditional manner of lute-making and is made of alternating staves of Walnut and Lacewood. The neck and pegbox are solid Walnut and features a bone nut with a width of 37mm (1 1/2 inch). An end-pin strap button is standard.

Softcase, Extra String Set Included. Free Shipping.

5 of 5 Excellent Instrument March 18, 2024

beautiful instrument. A small and compact craft of simple ukulele melodies with the flavor of renaissance lute. The tone is fluttery and light, exactly what you'd want for instruments like this. Worth everything i spent for it. Just take care of those strings! If it's your first time friction tuning, i'd look up some tips for it.

3 of 5 lutulele tuning October 5, 2021

looks the part for what i want -- renfair costume as wandering minstral. but so hard to tune and keep in tune because of the tuning pegs. i'd be happy to pay a bit more and sacrifice another layer of authenticity for gears
