Roosebeck Lutes are designed by Zachary Taylor, a renowned designer and maker of early stringed instruments. For more than 25 years, he has taught the subject of Lutherie. It is his mission to design authentic early instruments, accessible to enthusiasts who desire quality without a high price-tag. We asked our house guitarist to demo these Lutes right out of the box. Tuning a Lute with wood pegs can be a challenge for the modern guitarist, in addition to double course strings, and the wider neck. But he did great!
